I am so excited to be sharing this AMAZING engagement session with y’all today on the blog! Krystal & John I have known for several years, and when I heard the exciting news of their engagement and being part of their big day I couldn’t have been any happier! I had their session completely planned and ready to photograph, we were walking outside of the car and then we were stopped and asked to not photograph at a river site that I had been to multiple times (minimum 4-5x) this year. It was completely UNEXPECTED & SHOCKING.
My heart instantly sank. But instead of worrying I was thinking of next options in the relative area.
Sometimes you just have to keep moving forward and think fast on your feet as a photographer.
Fortunately enough Krystal & John instantly said they knew a little spot of their own, so away we went! So we loaded up in the car on Memorial Weekend and headed over to the place where they will be saying, “I do” this October.
Then all 3 of us realized. Saturday + Memorial Weekend +River = Lots of people. Like lots and lots of folks.
And guess what? From the looks of it you would never know. Krystal & John were beyond great sports and completely trusted me to work in my style and I was able to position them perfectly to remove any distractions or folks… or HUGE river floaties full of people! And we got in a few laughs along the way and even some people cheering on from the river. We seriously had too much fun!
Then being residents of New Braunsfels, photographs at the bridge was an omen and I am so glad Krystal & John brought their precious pup, Rory!! Y’all will have to scroll and see she’s such a sweet girl!!
I just absolutely enjoyed this session!!
I absolutely love the chemistry between these two!
The sunset and these two = perfection!
I am so glad we walked to this one little area where could actually get in the water. Again , there were people close by but you know being among other Texans they graciously said “Congratulations” to these two and went away from the background. People are just sweet as sweet tea in Texas!
Seriously, can they be any cuter?
After our fun time at the river we headed to the infamous New Braunsfels Faust Bridge and Krystal & John’s sweet pup, Rory came along! I just can’t get over these!
Awwww Rory! Such a sweet girl!
Floral dresses like these ALWAYS deserve a TWIRL! Love the flow of this dress!
I cannot wait for the wedding day in October! Cheers guys!
