Are you beginning to plan your wedding and have no idea what venue is best for you to say, “I, do” to?

Well girlfriend, today we are diving straight into this topic and providing 4 key tips to finding your dream venue for your wedding day!

I know first hand, planning a wedding can be stressful. It’s can feel like an overwhelming checklist of to-dos along with a never ending “google” search. Especially when finding the first thing, your Wedding Venue!

Today, we are putting a straight up hault to the late night hours spent on your search bar! How? I have my wedding planning fairy godmother here to help! (Insert all the fairy dust!)

My dear friend and phenomenal wedding planner, Blaize Lynch of Borrowed and Blue Events is here to discuss the 4 key tips to finding your dream venue for your perfect day!

“First things first, picking a venue! When finding a venue to host your wedding, it is important that you gather some key information with your fiancé, before diving in headfirst to your search. Listed below are the most important things to know before booking!”

#1 Budget

Budget: Talking about money can be tough, but it has to be done in order to stay organized, as well as pick out vendors that are in your price range. This doesn’t have to be a scary thing.

Make it fun!

Host a fajita night for whoever may be contributing financially to your big day, and talk! After speaking with whoever may be contributing to your wedding, sit down with your fiancé and discuss if the two of you will also be pitching in. Once this is done, the next steps become easier.”

#2 Guest Count

Guest Count: What is your attendance going to look like? Do you want to have a small intimate wedding, or is the whole town invited to the party?

While you don’t have to have an exact number of guests nailed down, you should have an estimate.

Getting a guest count together will also allow you to narrow your search when looking for venues. Most venues have a maximum capacity that they are able to hold at their space. Keep in mind that most of the time, the bigger the guest count, the more your wedding will cost!”

#3 Time of Year

Time of Year: Do you want to get married in a winter wonderland, or is the springtime right up your wedding alley?

If the venue is booked out during the time of year you are wanting, this may narrow down your options significantly.

You also have to ask yourself as well as your fiancé, “Is looking at different venues something you we want to do, or would we be okay with adjusting the time of year we are wanting to say I Do?”

#4 Style

“Style: When talking about style, you want to find somewhere that is the perfect mixture of you and your fiancé!

Living in Texas, there are so many beautiful venues popping up by the minute.

What I love is there are a lot of very unique options! You could be in the same town and have a rustic farmhouse, garden style venue, and castle all with in a 10-mile radius. Whatever your style may be, there is a perfect spot for you!
