A few weeks ago I had the privilege of working with some of the best wedding vendors to create the vision of a Texas Hill Country dream wedding for any bride. The individuals that participated in this feature truly have a one of a kind passion and heart for their perfected crafts and capabilities. Together we came and collaborated on the thought, if a bride came to us tomorrow and asked for a team of professionals to make her day the best day, what would this look like? How can it be different and timeless?
It was through our passions and creativity we came together with the idea of taking something old and making it into something completely new and fun for any prospective bride. Guys, if you are a bride at this moment, or maybe even a prospective bride waiting on your boyfriend to pop that knee flexor, or have a profound love for antiques this is right where you need to be!
CalliRosa Calligraphy of San Antonio, TX provided these one of a kind invitations, menu cards, and place cards. Charlotte, the owner, has a true gift for color and placement as she crafted each stage of these invitations by hand. How unique and amazing is that? Invitations have the ability to set the tone for your wedding, and this brought together our color palette and mix of old and new perfectly. To find more information about check out Charlotte at CalliRosa Calligraphy !
Suzie Martinez, of Creations Cake Shop in Pleasanton, literally takes the cake on this one! Suzie & her team executed this piece perfectly taking elements from our antique china and water color to create this beauty that’s almost too pretty to even to eat. But if you have every had a Creations Cake you would know first hand nothing is dreamier that taking that first bite of heavenly cake. Their service and creativity makes them the best cake shop all around.
Mike & Charlotte Jaynes, of The Oaks at Boerne were more than gracious to allow us to bring our dream wedding to their location in Boerne, TX. This married duo is incredible and have a true passion for serving others especially their brides. Together the Jaynes and their family recreated this venue from what was originally a chicken coop house in the 50s. A chicken coop, guys – so you can imagine their creativity and craft to the property? It’s pretty stellar. This venue allows for the open concept environment and full integration of the Texas Hill Country. You can hear the branches sway in the breeze and the crickets chirp happy tunes in the night. It’s beyond peaceful. We transformed the fireplace into a ceremony location, but there is also another option to get married under the heavenly trees as well.
Briana Lorenz, Owner of Perfectly Woven, was so gracious not to only lend her antique Persian Rugs & Jimmy John for this shoot but guys, she also modeled along side her husband, Willie. The use of PW’s rugs transformed this area with the perfect hues and gave it the classic timeless touch. These items can be purchased in person at her shop in Pleasanton, TX bringing a one of kind element to your home or any event space.
These two newlyweds were just a complete dream and their love for one another only shows more and more throughout this entire shoot.
Briana’s dress is a dress that transforms from ceremony to reception as the tulle skirt is removable and was designed by custom for her. It fits her beautifully and is just lovely throughout this entire evening.
Lesley McMillan, shop owner of Lesley’s Flower Shop & Gifts, and her team selected the most beautiful florals that were one of a kind and sang colorful hues throughout this entire collaboration. The colors of this bouquet were beyond gorgeous and sheer perfection. To also up ante on the ceremony site, Lesley created a whimsical vine piece on the fireplace with Italian Ruscus that just brought that extra elements of class to the session. Lesley creates a one of a kind experience for her brides taking consideration into all elements of antiques and the venue used to tie it all together with her floral work. The centerpiece in this feature will blow anyone away as she took an antique Jimmy John and transformed it into a one of a kind show stopper.
Tina Humphrey, owner and lead consultant of Diamonds & Dreams Event Consultants, was a huge part of the success of this shoot. Together we spoke back and forth on the styling, color coordination, and classic elements which would make this different but yet timeless to any bride. Tina has a true act for placement, which is not easy guys, and takes the overwhelming situations and eliminates them completely with the touch of her magic wand. Ok, she doesn’t have a wand, but I would have been sworn to believe it to be true. Top notch service and guys if you go with Tina you won’t be disappointed.
Laurie Love, of Cru Vintage Rentals in Boerne, was another wedding MVP here guys. Laurie, has a warehouse full of antiques (insert major heart flutters) she was able to bring pieces for our tables such as the china and candle pieces along with a gorgeous pink couch you’ll see later on. There is such a benefit to using her services as she was able to bring these pieces all together from her inventory, which is quite extensive. If you are in need of any type of antique for your day Cru Rentals is your go to destination for renting these amazing pieces.
Next up, our cocktail hour was brought to you by The Pour Horse. Tassie, owner of TPS & Sass Tass Bartending, transformed this old horse trailer into an out of this world bar. Can you guys imagine how cool this would be at your wedding? Not only are you being provided tasty drinks but the environment is not just any regular bar setting. The use of shiplap and industrial lighting make this a true ‘wow’ factor for any wedding or event.
Aren’t these guys just perfect? Love these two!
Kim Ramirez of Makeup by Kim Ramirez, was our makeup artist for this session and her work is unbelievable! She takes time to perfect the look desired and mixes and matches colors to create one of a kind color palette. Kim even took it one step further, and requested for the bouquet to make Briana’s lips the perfect shade to match. If that isn’t impressive I don’t know what is! Kim alongside with Rosie MacDonald, owner and hair stylist of Rosie MacDonald Hair & Makeup were the beauty dream team. The heat was not match for Rosie’s skills to keep hair curled and in place.
And last but for certain never least, I had the amazing Adrien of Pine & Blossom participate in our styled session with her amazing videography skills. Adrien is full of life and leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes. If you don’t believe me just check out this magic she created to capture the behind the scenes of this styled session and what your dream wedding could look like.
