Hey guys! It’s Summer and I love it! Give me all the poolside margs, sunglasses, and shade by the water and Girl, I am good to go. When thinking about a cool crisp refreshing drink, beautiful sandy beaches, and cabanas, one thing comes to mind. This beautiful styled wedding feature back in the Grand Cayman Islands by Seven Mile Beach.
I along with a wonderful team of talented group of Photographers came together from across the U.S. to attend and participate in this shoot put together by the Embark Photography Retreat hosted by Jessica Frey Photography & Breanna McKendrick Photography.
The island music and simple sounds of the waves crashing on the shore along with the palms swishing in the trees are on of the many reasons why the Caribbean holds a special place in my heart. It recharges and renews the soul, and provides the most refreshing sandy beaches and salt water.
After sinking my toes in the sand and momentarily living on ‘island time’, it’s no wonder why couples would choose a destination like The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman to host their wedding or elopement celebration. A 5-star resort offering the most luxurious views and amenities (and truffle fries by the Pool…lawd so good!) to take your breath away.
It’s without a doubt that this adventure differentiates from my past 4 trips to the Caribbean, I actually was able to not only experience the islands but I was able to document it, the only way I know how with my camera in hand.

Now Mayra and Fernando, oh my goodness y’all they’re really this precious in person as they are on camera. Let me tell you about these two cuties here!
In Mexico I had the wonderful opportunity to learn more about Mayra and Fernando. As we were sitting along the sea shores hanging out and enjoying a cold Cerveza and the best Ceviche, I just had to ask them, “How long have you two known each other?”
Fernando informed, he would always remember the moment he first saw Mayra. She was in the 8th grade playing Volleyball at their gymnasium.
A special thanks to one of Fernando’s childhood friends, being intrigued and persistent to meet one of Mayra’s team mates. Fernando being annoyed by his friend, finally gave in and went to the gym with him. After that moment of walking inside and seeing Mayra for the first time, that one look was all it took. Fernando later on introduced himself not that long after and the two became friends which led to the start of a beautiful relationship.
These two cute childhood sweethearts, now turned married entrepreneurs, currently reside in Austin, TX and are continuously capturing fun moments and celebrating couples as they own and operate the most adorable photobooth buses. Their vintage photobuses are truly one of a kind, just like them! Check them out here!
I just have to say, the one thing I just truly enjoyed about Mayra & Fernando was their affection towards one another! #goals! They’re so sweet and loving , it’s something that I cannot even begin to describe! Thankfully, I have these portraits that can.
